Hopton’s Gost Hunters club is celebrating a decade of paranormal investigations this week, as the club plans another year of staking out ‘haunted houses’ in the hopes of spotting a spectre.

The ghost hunting society was formed by Neil Brown, 37, and his wife, Sandy, 35, who live in Old Church Road, Hopton. They have recruited several local enthusiasts to ‘investigate’ ghost sightings in the area.
Their youtube channel is packed with ‘evidence,’ and although their videos show nothing beyond a few unusual light patterns, it’s clearly enough to get some people spooked.
Mr Brown, an unemployed former IT technician, described one of his personal experiences to the Great Yarmouth Mercury, which he attributes to ghostly forces: He felt sick, dizzy and sapped of energy. Instead of having a cup of tea and a biscuit, Mr Brown concluded that a malevolent spirit must be to blame.
He said: “Most of the time they take your energy to make a point.” What do you think about ghosts? Is Mr Brown really a ghostbuster, or is there always a rational explanation? Let us know in the comments section.
